The second time that I went to Lekka was with Brandi from Instagram: @brandisfoodiediary. We decided to go to Lekka because I told Brandi about the amazing cakes that they have in their bakery case, and it because it is only a few minutes from my workplace. We met for a late brunch, because Brandi was on Spring break (lucky!). Lekka is the perfect place to have a celebration gathering, or a lunch meeting with a friend. They also have a cute little store that sells gifts and other small trinkets (salt lamps).
I ordered the Veggie Tramezzini with a side salad. They give you the option to have fries or a side salad. I really enjoyed the vegetable Tramezzini, because it was like eating a quesadilla with vegetables inside. The flavors of the artichoke, spinach, roasted red peppers, and melted cheese on pita bread was amazing! The side salad was nothing special, but their house dressing is very tasty. The portion size is also very filling, I could hardly save room for dessert.
We both tried to save room for dessert, and I chose their coconut cream pie. Brandi choose their chocolate caramel peanut pie, or their “Snickers Pie”. The bakery case at Lekka is filled with amazing sky high pies and cakes. It was hard to choose just one. The coconut cream pie tasted like fluffy coconut heaven. I loved the graham cracker crust and the coconut shavings on top. It also had a large amount of whip cream on top, which is normal for this type of cream pie. I sampled a bite of the Snickers pie, and it was also delicious. My favorite part was the caramel and peanuts at the bottom.
I would recommend Lekka to anyone who is looking for a different place to eat for lunch or dinner. Sometimes lunch can get boring if you keep going to the same restaurants. It is good to branch out a bit and try new things, because you never know what you could find.
Lekka is located at 17606 Preston Rd, Dallas, TX 75252.
