I love shopping for home goods at Ikea, and I also love their Swedish food market. I wanted to try a few food items for dinner, so I bought all the vegetarian items that I could find. The Ikea food market is near the cashier stations near the exits, it is easy to miss if you are not looking for it. I appreciate a business that stays true to their roots, and Ikea does that by bringing Swedish food to the USA.
We started out dinner with a vegetarian pizza called Pizzabitar. This frozen pizza always had me wondering if it was good or not, and I am happy to say that it was pretty good tasting.
The extra spices really made a difference when taking this pizza from good to great. The only bad part was that the vegetables on top have a hard time staying on top while in the oven, this happens with many pizzas.
To drink we had the apple and lingon berry sparkling juice. The sparkling juices from Ikea are always great tasting, and make your dinner feel special (even if you are eating pizza). I love the bubbly flavor mixture, and it pairs well with the cookies for dessert.
For dessert we had Kakor Apple cookies, and these are my favorite! I can never eat just one of these cookies. The apple jelly inside each cookie is my favorite part. These are one of my all time favorite cookies, and they come in many flavors that I can try next time.
In conclusion, I would say that the Ikea Swedish food market is a high quality place to shop. They do not have a ton of vegetarian dishes, but they do have Swedish crepes that I want to try in the future.
The Ikea location that I visited is 7171 Ikea Dr, Frisco, TX 75034.
