Moe’s Southwest Grill

Moe’s Southwest Grill is a happy memory for me, because I have been eating Moe’s burritos since I was in high school.  I went to high school in an isolated town with hardly any restaurants.  Moe’s became my Friday/Saturday burrito happy place.  I also went there on burrito Tuesdays, when you can get any burrito and chips for only $5.00! I probably went there too often back in the day…

When I moved to Dallas, I was upset that there was no Moe’s location here. Now they are starting to open up more locations slowly, and I am very happy about that.  They opened a Moe’s inside the Dallas Love Field Airport and one in downtown Dallas (the location that I like to frequent).

Moe’s is not just another burrito joint, they have A LOT more ingredients that you can have inside your meal.  The amounts of ingredients is mind blowing, and always beats out the competition such as Chipotle. Chipotle has minimal ingredients that you can choose from, and this always frustrates me…I will end up with a burrito with only rice, beans and cheese.

Moe’s takes food to the next level with their premium ingredients, such as fresh vegetables! I ordered a Julia Guilia Stack which comes with beans, all-natural shredded cheese, pico de gallo and Moe’s Famous Queso stacked between two crunchy corn shells wrapped in a grilled flour or whole-grain tortilla. I added mushrooms, olives, lettuce and corn salsa to make it complete, but you fully customize to your own personal taste.

Every meal at Moe’s comes with chips and a trip to the salsa bar. I enjoyed the mild pineapple cucumber salsa, it was so good!

The food at Moe’s is always great, and my Julia Gulia Stack tasted like a vegetarian crunch wrap (Taco Bell), but a lot healthier. I also like to call it a crunchy quesadilla with all my favorite ingredients inside. I would recommend Moe’s to anyone who is bored with Chipotle, and wants an out of the box burrito experience.

The Moe’s location that I visited is 2121 Main Street, Dallas, TX 75201.
